Thanks to the global commitment of our 2,250 colleagues, we have grown into a major player in the chemical sector.
You and your team will be responsible for the payroll of our 300 employees (both workers and staff) at our Ghent site.

What does your workday look like?

You will play a crucial role in ensuring our payroll processes run smoothly and accurately. You will have the support of three team members. Additionally, you will be responsible for further developing the compensation and benefits policy, including a classification system, salary benchmarking, variable compensation, and a flexible reward plan. Staying updated on HR trends and changes in social legislation will also be part of your responsibilities.
This role places significant emphasis on projects related to administrative simplification and digitization. As a key partner, you will support various departments, providing guidance on complex personnel cases, HR advice, and personnel optimizations.
Finally, you will maintain collaborative relationships with trade unions, the payroll provider, corporate HR colleagues, and other HR partners.

The Team Lead Payroll reports to the HR Manager.

  • You possess a master’s level of thinking and have solid experience in compensation & benefits and/or payroll. Experience in a production environment is a plus.
  • You have a thorough knowledge of current Belgian labor laws and can formulate clear (legally substantiated) advice.
  • You are keen on digitalization and want to contribute to the transition to more automated systems.
  • You have strong analytical skills and a structured approach. You can think conceptually and deliver high-quality, accurate work.
  • You are assertive and confidently advocate for your views. You are proactive and can inspire others.
