Looking for a “bright career”?

At KRONOS, we produce high-quality titanium dioxide (TiO2), a pigment used to give color to the world.
Our production site houses numerous technical installations, and we handle most of their maintenance ourselves.
Out of the 300 colleagues here in Ghent, approximately 80 work in the Maintenance department, and you could be one of them!

About the job

At KRONOS, there are many opportunities for technical profiles, both during the day and in shifts.
We frequently seek mechanics responsible for ensuring the proper and safe operation of the installations at our production site. Most of your shift will involve mechanical work, but (construction) welding is also part of your duties. Your workplace spans the entire profile, so every workday is different and offers new challenges.
Do you prefer a fixed workplace? Then you might find a position in our workshop as a bench worker. Your main task would be to overhaul equipment. Turning and milling are not part of your daily tasks, but if you possess those skills, we will certainly make use of them.
We also regularly have openings for experienced welders and individuals with a background in electricity and installations.

About you

If you would like to be part of our Maintenance team, you must excel in technical knowledge. To become the best mechanic, you also need to have:

  • A TSO/BSO diploma in a technical field. You combine this theoretical knowledge with practical experience gained in the field.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and safety.
  • The ability to react quickly, appropriately, and solution-oriented in urgent problem situations.
  • A willingness to join the intervention team.

We provide a thorough training period of approximately one year, which is always conducted during the day shift.

Why KRONOS?

We believe in your driven technical talents and trust in collaboration. In addition, you can also count on:

  • A work environment where safety always comes first;
  • The opportunity to continue developing yourself, keeping your knowledge up to date and expanding it, thanks to a wide range of training and development opportunities throughout your career;
  • A pleasant working atmosphere and a healthy work-life balance;
  • Growth opportunities depending on your ambitions and capabilities;
  • A permanent contract with a competitive salary including shift premiums, supplemented with numerous benefits;
  • A company culture where Customer Focus, Teamwork, Communication, and Leadership are the main driving forces.
