About the job

As a Project Engineer Mechanics you will be responsible for the execution of projects: from design/engineering to delivery.  You will report to the Project Manager.

What will be your biggest challenges?

  • Coordinating and supervising investment and maintenance projects;
  • Organize with an eye for planning, budget, timing and quality, bringing projects to a successful conclusion;
  • Follow up projects during the realization phase and intervene if necessary;
  • Collaborate with maintenance, production, HSE and external partners such as suppliers and consultants;
  • Continuously keep abreast of recent technological evolutions in the field of mechanics that are directly or indirectly related to the production process;
  • Convert project documentation into technical manuals and documentation for the maintenance and production department.

About you

Most importantly, you can identify with our KRONOS values: Teamwork, Communication, Leadership and Customer Focus.

But the ideal candidate will also recognize themselves in the following profile:

  • You have a master's degree (industrial or civil engineering), preferably in Mechanics or Electromechanics.
  • You can look back on a solid (first) experience in project management. And a passion for mechanics, that goes without saying. You like flowcharts on six computer screens simultaneously, step-by-step plans, nuts and bolts.
  • You maintain a helicopter perspective at all times. Thanks to a quick and analytical mind, you have good insight and a broad view of the various ongoing processes.
  • Challenges? You like to tackle them independently and creatively. Variety gives you energy.
  • You also work well together. You can perfectly translate technical jargon into "normal human language". With the right communication and a constructive attitude, you get everyone on board;
  • Of course you're fluent in Dutch and live on a reasonable distance from KRONOS Ghent.

Brighter Together, that is what KRONOS stands for and what our 300 colleagues at KRONOS EUROPE in Ghent are committed to every day.
