About the job
As a Project Engineer Mechanics you will be responsible for the execution of projects: from design/engineering to delivery. You will report to the Project Manager.
What will be your biggest challenges?
- Coordinating and supervising investment and maintenance projects;
- Organize with an eye for planning, budget, timing and quality, bringing projects to a successful conclusion;
- Follow up projects during the realization phase and intervene if necessary;
- Collaborate with maintenance, production, HSE and external partners such as suppliers and consultants;
- Continuously keep abreast of recent technological evolutions in the field of mechanics that are directly or indirectly related to the production process;
- Convert project documentation into technical manuals and documentation for the maintenance and production department.
About you

But the ideal candidate will also recognize themselves in the following profile:
- You have a master's degree (industrial or civil engineering), preferably in Mechanics or Electromechanics.
- You can look back on a solid (first) experience in project management. And a passion for mechanics, that goes without saying. You like flowcharts on six computer screens simultaneously, step-by-step plans, nuts and bolts.
- You maintain a helicopter perspective at all times. Thanks to a quick and analytical mind, you have good insight and a broad view of the various ongoing processes.
- Challenges? You like to tackle them independently and creatively. Variety gives you energy.
- You also work well together. You can perfectly translate technical jargon into "normal human language". With the right communication and a constructive attitude, you get everyone on board;
- Of course you're fluent in Dutch and live on a reasonable distance from KRONOS Ghent.
