KRONOS is a global player in the production of Titanium dioxide TiO2, a white pigment with strong covering power.
It can be found in coatings and plastics but also in inks, paper & cosmetics. It makes products whiter and provides gloss. You could say that we literally give colour to the world.
Every year we produce about 90,000 tonnes of TiO2 here in Ghent and to make sure it gets onto the trucks to our customers; we are looking for a "forklift driver".

What does your working day look like like?

Making TiO2 is a chemical process that requires a lot of raw materials. Think for example of chlorine, toluene, sodium hydroxide, ... You will join the Materials Management department where you will be trained as a polyvalent operator. 
We will first train you as a "finished goods driver". You will load trucks and containers with pallets of pigment from a warehouse with a drive-in racking system. Then we will train you further to become a "spare parts warehouse operator". Here you prepare reservations for other services and fill compressed air bottles with the compressor.  You can also enter the received goods into our SAP system.  Finally, you are also trained as a "materials management operator" which means that, together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for unloading these raw materials. Your tasks also include loading by-products. You will have to wear appropriate PPE for some raw materials, such as compressed air, full face mask, chemical resistant gloves, etc. 
After completion of all training courses, you will remain polyvalent within these 3 posts. 

What do you bring?

• You can drive a forklift perfectly (especially in narrow aisles!) and have a valid certificate.
• You already have experience in a warehouse or logistics department.
• You have sufficient computer knowledge; being able to work with SAP is an asset.
• You attach great importance to safety and order and cleanliness.
• For safety reasons, you can express yourself fluently in Dutch.
• You are accurate, reliable & motivated.
• You are prepared to work the day shift.
