KRONOS is a global player in the production of Titaniumdioxide (TiO2), a white pigment with strong covering power.
TiO2 can be found in coatings and plastics but also in inks, paper & cosmetics. It makes products whiter and provides gloss. You could say that we literally give colour to the world.
Here in Ghent, we produce some 90,000 tonnes of TiO2 a year, in a safe and sustainable way.

About the job

As Safety Officer, you are part of the "Safety, Environment, Quality & Energy" team and report directly to the Head of Department. Your colleague Safety Officer takes care of Process Safety, Work Safety will be your domain.
In this position you support both management and employees. Your task will be to coordinate and implement action plans in the field of occupational safety. Furthermore, you will have the full support of the management to take the safety culture within our company to a higher level.

Some of your duties include:

• You are the key figure in our journey towards a proactive safety culture.
• You coordinate the tasks related to prevention, safety and well-being at work. Think of risk analyses, incident investigation, ergonomics, training on prevention but also reports and keeping safety procedures up to date.
• You formulate advice and recommendations on safety.
• You lead internal working groups on the subject of safety.
• You follow legislation closely and translate it to the organization.
• You coordinate the operation of the intervention team.
• You are responsible for providing information to the government and external auditors.
• You also play an important role within the “CPBW”.

It goes without saying that you are an analytical thinker, both at master level and from experience.
