Our production site has a lot of technical installations and we do most of the maintenance ourselves.
Of the 300 colleagues here in Ghent, about 80 work in the Maintenance Department and you can become one of them!
About the job
As Mechanic in a full-time shift system, you and your colleagues are responsible for the proper and safe operation of the installations on our production site.
Most of your shift you will be doing wrench work but also (construction) welding is part of your tasks.
Your workplace is not limited to our workshop because you literally work all over our factory. This makes every working day different and offers new challenges.
To familiarize you with our factory, we provide a thorough training that lasts at least 1 year. During this period you will work day shift and only when factory no longer holds any secrets for you will you switch to the shift system
About you
Your technical acumen is legendary!
To additionally become the best as a mechanic, you have:
- A TSO / BSO degree in a technical direction. You combine this theoretical knowledge with practical knowledge gained in the work field;
- Experience in welding is a must;
- A great sense of responsibility and safety;
- You react quickly, adequately and solution-oriented in urgent problem situations;
- You are willing to become a member of the intervention team.
After a training period of +/- 1 year, you are willing to transfer into our full-continuous shift system.
