Titania AS, Hauge in Dalane in Rogaland, mines approximately 8 million tonnes of ore and side rocks annually. Raw materials for the global pigment industry are produced from this. We are one of the country's largest mining operations and among the world's largest ilmenite mines. The ore deposit has sufficient resources for several generations of operation. The company has approx. 240 employees and is owned by Kronos Worldwide, which is a leading producer of titanium dioxide with production units in Norway, Germany, Belgium, the USA and Canada. The mine/open pit is located at Tellenes in Sokndal. We have processing plants in Hommedal (part of the Tellenes area) and at our drying plant in Jøssingfjord.


Our production line is complex, with many different steps to extract ore, crush it and process it further to separate ilmenite from the ore. All steps in the process must be carried out with utmost precision so that the ilmenite can be delivered in accordance with the needs of the pigment industry.

Duties and Responsibility

The maintenance planner's role is mainly to structure and plan the maintenance. 

Tasks:

 

  • Establish, maintain and improve maintenance plan and maintenance programs.
  • Map the scope of maintenance activity needed to carry out the current plan. 
  • Develop cost and time schedules for maintenance.
  • Ensure that maintenance personnel have everything they need to carry out a work order.
  • Propose maintenance procedures that promote good quality maintenance.
  • Responsible for maintaining master data in SAP HANA.
  • Perform root cause analysis.
  • Ensure that the necessary data is recorded and reported to be able to present key performance indicators (KPI) for equipment reliability, maintenance and planning.
  • Continuously improve planning, purchasing, inventory, data management and reporting routines to increase planning efficiency and improve maintenance results.

Education and Experience

Technical education, engineer or equivalent

Relevant experience can compensate for education

Good financial understanding, knowledge of preventive maintenance and principles of modern maintenance

Good computer skills in SAP, AutoCAD, Excel are an advantage

Knowledge of SPM and vibration monitoring - condition checks

Good Norwegian and English skills, oral and writing
