Summary

Titania AS, Hauge in Dalane in Rogaland, mines approximately 8 million tonnes of ore and side rocks annually. Raw materials for the global pigment industry are produced from this. We are one of the country's largest mining operations and among the world's largest ilmenite mines. The ore deposit has sufficient resources for several generations of operation. The company has approx. 240 employees and is owned by Kronos Worldwide, which is a leading producer of titanium dioxide with production units in Norway, Germany, Belgium, the USA and Canada. Duties and Responsibility

The development manager is a member of the company's management team and reports directly to the director.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Be the initiator of projects that optimize and develop production
• Coordinate and work with projects throughout the value chain
• Coordinator for Titania's role/participation in external projects (EU, Research Council, etc.)
• Project manager for optimization and development projects 
• Lead the department, prioritize and distribute tasks. 
• Contribute in creating new products and markets for Titania as well as testing new technology
• Assist with customer inquiries/complaints etc.
• Collaborate with other departments/groups internally and externally
• Carry out Life Cycle Analyzes (LCA) at regular intervals as part of the company's sustainability work
• Contribute to preparing Titania's sustainability strategy
• Geometallurgical and process mineralogical investigations

Education and Experience

• Master's or PhD in geology/ore dressing
• Desirable with expertise in geology and ore dressing.
• Mining industry and management experience
• Networks within the mining industry, universities, research institutes etc. an advantage
• Driver's license requirements at kl. B
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, verbally and in writing.
