Titania AS, Hauge in Dalane in Rogaland, mines approximately 8 million tonnes of ore and side rocks annually. Raw materials for the global pigment industry are produced from this. We are one of the country's largest mining operations and among the world's largest ilmenite mines. The ore deposit has sufficient resources for several generations of operation. The company has approx. 240 employees and is owned by Kronos Worldwide, which is a leading producer of titanium dioxide with production units in Norway, Germany, Belgium, the USA and Canada. The mine/open pit is located at Tellenes in Sokndal. We have processing plants in Hommedal (part of the Tellenes area) and at our drying plant in Jøssingfjord.

Our production line is complex, with many different steps to extract ore, crush it and process it further to separate ilmenite from the ore. All steps in the process must be carried out with utmost precision so that the ilmenite can be delivered in accordance with the needs of the pigment industry.

Duties and Responsibility

  • Maintenance of Titania's mining equipment
  • Participate actively and focus on HSE 
  • Compliance with the Titania's values
  • Preform mechanical maintenance on a wide range of equipment/installations at the Ore dressing facility.
  • Cooperate with other departments to solve the tasks that are needed/planned.

Education and Experience

  • Certificate of apprenticeship mechanics, or other relevant education.
  • Experience with similar work
  • Driver license, class B, required, in addition class C1E is an advantage
  • Comfortable using digital tools
  • Understand Norwegian and English (written and oral).
