Titania AS, Hauge in Dalane in Rogaland, mines approximately 8 million tonnes of ore and side rocks annually. Raw materials for the global pigment industry are produced from this. We are one of the country's largest mining operations and among the world's largest ilmenite mines. The ore deposit has sufficient resources for several generations of operation. The company has approx. 240 employees and is owned by Kronos Worldwide, which is a leading producer of titanium dioxide with production units in Norway, Germany, Belgium, the USA and Canada. Our existing Controller/CFO plans to retire in 2026, and in that connection we are looking for: Deputy Chief Financial Officer

The right candidate will in 2026 take over the position as head of the finance department, which currently consists of five people

Duties and Responsibility

The position includes tasks related to:

- Management of the finance department

- Financial reporting to the Group's head office in Dallas, USA.

- Financial reporting to local management at Titania

- Budgeting and cost-controlling including monthly and quarterly reporting

- Year-end Reporting

- Streamlining and improvement of processes and routines

- Reporting in accordance with public authority requirements

- Ongoing handling of issues related to accounting, public duties, tax and payroll

 

Education and Experience

Desired qualifications:

- Higher relevant education within finance and accounting/auditing

- Experience from accounting work and knowledge of US GAAP

-  Management experience

- Good IT skills. The company’s  accounts is booked in SAP, and it will be an advantage if you have experience with SAP

- Good Norwegian and English skills, both verbally and in writing
