Summary

Titania AS, located in Hauge i Dalane, Rogaland, extracts approximately 8 million tonnes of ore and waste rock annually. From this, raw materials are produced for the global pigment industry. We are one of Norway’s largest mining operations and among the world’s largest ilmenite producers. The ore deposit contains sufficient resources for several generations of operation.

The company employs approximately 240 people and is owned by Kronos Worldwide, a leading producer of titanium dioxide with production facilities in Norway, Germany, Belgium, the USA, and Canada. KRONOS serves customers in more than 120 countries.

Our core values — Customer Focus, Communication, Teamwork, and Leadership — are key elements of both the company’s and the group’s DNA. These values unite us, define what we stand for, and guide how we act every day.

The open-pit mine is located at Tellenes in Sokndal. We operate processing plants in Hommedal (part of the Tellenes area) and at our drying facility in Jøssingfjord. Our production line is complex, involving multiple stages to extract ore, crush it, and process it further to separate ilmenite. Each step must be carried out with the highest precision to meet the quality requirements of the pigment industry.

Due to an upcoming retirement, we are seeking a Laboratory Manager who will not only lead the laboratory team but also play an active role in quality assurance and development of production. The Laboratory Manager is responsible for ensuring that the team experiences mastery and job satisfaction, while consistently delivering high-quality products to our customers.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in an operational environment and enjoys taking responsibility. You will be a key contributor to our production line, leading a team of laboratory technicians in a fast-paced and dynamic setting to ensure efficient delivery of high-quality results in a safe working environment.
