Duties and Responsibility

The incumbent will be responsible for the procurement of all supplies and services for the Varennes plant. They will lead negotiations and ensure follow-up with major suppliers, from initial contact through to contract closure following KRONOS acceptance.

  • Prepare tender documents and issue them to bidders;
  • Develop negotiation strategies and negotiate with suppliers;
  • Prepare and review purchase orders and ensure follow-up on monthly reports;
  • Identify new suppliers and manage business relationships between KRONOS and its suppliers;
  • Maintain information in the SAP system;
  • Participate in the development of new processes to improve efficiency;
  • Evaluate the performance of key suppliers in close collaboration with the departments involved and/or recipients of goods and services;
  • Manage the full supplier complaint process and follow up until resolution;
  • Participate in the preparation of engineering specifications and provide recommendations based on project needs;
  • Coordinate QA/QC activities for assigned contracts;
  • Ensure logistics for the delivery of goods (temporary storage, Incoterms, special transportation, etc.).

Education, Experience and Competencies

  • DEC in Administration or a diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Procurement, or completion of the following four courses: Procurement, Logistics, Transportation, and Operations Management;
  • 10 years of experience in procurement;
  • Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written);
  • Knowledge of SAP;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
