Duties and Responsibility

  • Disassemble, install, inspect, maintain, and repair all or part of the mechanical equipment and accessories in the plant;
  • Perform preventive maintenance interventions;
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication issues on all types of equipment in the plant (troubleshooting);
  • Determine corrective actions to be taken during unplanned shutdowns;
  • Perform required tests before restarting equipment for production;
  • Collaborate on engineering projects and any other tasks related to continuous improvement and the smooth operation of the plant.

Education, experience and competencies

  • High school diploma (DES) or equivalent and a DEP or DEC in maintenance mechanics, industrial mechanics, or mechanical engineering; 
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience (in heavy or chemical industry, an asset);
  • Experience with handling hazardous equipment (an asset);
  • Analytical mindset and excellent planning and organizational skills;
  • Autonomous;
  • Dynamic with a good team spirit;
  • Versatile.
