Short description

Responsable de la planification des travaux d'entretien de son secteur, le planificateur - maintenance doit, entre autres, identifier des méthodes de travail et des ressources permettant d'intervenir de façon sécuritaire et efficace, dans une optique de maintien et d'amélioration de la performance et de la fiabilité des actifs.

Education and Experience

• Hold a college diploma in mechanical engineering or electromechanics

• At least 5 years of experience in planning or supervising maintenance

• Experience in the industrial environment (an asset)

• Experience with SAP (an asset)

• Experience with an Asset Management System (CMMS / EAM)

• Experience with MS Project project management tools

Duties and Responsibility

  • Compile and optimize, on an ongoing basis, the "Backlog" intervention log related to its sector;
  • Develop and clarify the needs and scope of intervention with applicants as well as work procedures identifying the tasks, durations, constraints and resources necessary for the execution of safe and effective interventions;
  • Compile and centralize all the information useful to each intervention, including the problem, the diagnosis, the recommendations and the context of intervention (site);
  • Estimate intervention costs and initiate requests for funds during major work;
  • Validate the availability of resources required for each intervention;
  • Collaborate, with the purchasing departments, in the material, contractual and service supply, through the use of requisition tools as well as with the store, in the preparation of parts and consumables required "kitting", so as to facilitate access to material resources in time of intervention;
  • Actively participate in the scheduling process, in collaboration with operations and maintenance managers as well as in the process of prioritizing interventions, by providing technical expertise and an overview of needs and priorities for action;
  • Develop optimized intervention schedules according to needs, availability of resources and access to equipment;
  • Act, in support, as a technical expert in the execution of the work;
  • Coordinate all stakeholders, ensure OHS follow-up and actively follow-up;
  • Initiate the planning of subsequent interventions: corrections, reconditioning, etc.;
  • Process and monitor invoicing related to initiated procurements;
  • Replace the foreman occasionally.
