Summary
KRONOS Canada, Inc. is seeking a Quality Coordinator for its plant in Varennes, Quebec, Canada. Reporting to the Quality and Laboratory Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for managing and continuously improving the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS), which is certified to ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 50001 (Energy) standards and is currently pursuing ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and RC 14001 (Responsible Care™) certifications.
The Quality Coordinator oversees quality-related activities, including document control, audits, non-conformance management, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions, while also administering associated tools and platforms. The incumbent works closely with operational teams to ensure consistency in Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality (HSEEQ) practices and to support continuous improvement of company processes.
About the Company
KRONOS Canada, Inc. has been manufacturing white titanium dioxide (TiO₂) pigments in Varennes since 1957. TiO₂ pigments are widely used to provide opacity, whiteness, and brightness in a variety of consumer products such as paints, coatings, and plastics.
With approximately 300 employees in Quebec, the company is the only producer of TiO₂ pigments in Canada. KRONOS Canada, Inc. is a subsidiary of KRONOS Worldwide, Inc., a producer of TiO₂ pigments since 1916, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, USA. KRONOS Worldwide operates six TiO₂ production facilities across five countries (Germany, Belgium, Canada, the United States, and Norway), as well as an ilmenite mine in Norway.

Duties and Responsibility
Integrated Management System (IMS) Management
• Ensure the consistency, compliance, documentation, and continuous improvement of the IMS certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 50001, and currently pursuing ISO 14001 and RC 14001 certification.
• Administer IMS platforms and tools, including:
o TQM / Vyzr 2.0 (procedures and action management)
o SafeEmployee / SafeContractor (training management and contractor qualification)
Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Management Tool (implementation)
Quality Activities Coordination
• Manage and coordinate the following activities:
o Document control system management and compliance maintenance
o Planning, coordination, and follow-up of internal and external audits
o Monitoring and resolution of non-conformances
o Deployment and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions to ensure continuous improvement
• Actively participate in the Quality Committee.
• Monitor the pest management program.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
• Work closely with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Environment and Energy Coordinators.
• Collaborate with various departments across the organization, including:
o Production
o Maintenance
o Engineering
• Ensure alignment and consistency of HSEEQ practices, processes, and objectives across all company functions.
• Support teams in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities aimed at optimizing operational performance and HSEEQ compliance.
Other Responsibilities
• Facilitate awareness and training sessions as required.
• Serve as the laboratory on-call contact according to the established rotation schedule.
• Contribute to all other activities related to the IMS.
• Conduct internal health, safety, and environmental audits.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or another relevant scientific discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management systems within an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of:
o ISO 9001
o ISO 14001 (asset)
o ISO 45001 (asset)
o ISO 50001 (asset)
o RC 14001 (asset)
• Internal Auditor certification (asset).
• Continuous Improvement training (asset).
• Supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment, is an asset.
