Pipefitter

Summary and responsability

Under the supervision of the foreman, the pipefitter will have the following responsibilities:

  • Install, repair and replace plant piping equipment and heat exchange systems including steam bundles, unit heaters, shell and tube exchangers, spirals, etc;
  • Fabricate new metal, plastic, fiberglass, polymer and steel-polymer lined piping;
  • Diagnose sources of problems in heating systems by manipulating valves and instruments related to pipe lines;
  • Read plans and specifications to determine lengths/quantities of materials required;
  • Respect the company's health and safety standards, in particular by wearing the appropriate protective equipment (clothing and respiratory).

This is a 40h/week work schedule, Monday to Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent and DEP in plumbing and heating;
  • Plumber's certificate of qualification (construction or non-construction);
  • Minimum 5 years' experience (2 years in heavy or chemical industry an asset);
  • Natural gas burner systems license (an asset).
