Duties and responsabilities

  • Install, repair and replace in-plant adduction equipment and heat exchange systems including steam bundles, unit heaters, shell-and-tube exchangers, spirals, etc;
  • Fabricate new metal, plastic, fiberglass, polymer and steel-polymer lined piping;
  • Diagnose sources of problems in heating systems by manipulating valves and instruments related to pipe lines;
  • Read plans and specifications to determine lengths/quantities of materials required;
  • Comply with company health and safety standards, including wearing appropriate protective equipment (clothing and respiratory).

Education, experience and competencies

  • High school diploma or equivalent and DEP in plumbing and heating;
     
  • Plumber's certificate of qualification (construction or non-construction);
  • Minimum 5 years' experience (2 years in heavy industry or chemical industry an asset);
  • Natural gas burner systems license (an asset);
  • Provide work of high quality; 
  • Show initiative; 
  • Support colleagues; 
  • Perform physical or mechanical tasks.
